How Carat researches and updates what it publishes
Responsibility
Everything on caratid.app is written and reviewed by the Yaysoft LTD team. We name the publisher on every page and give a working email address.
Method
Claims about metals, hallmarking systems, gemstone treatments and grading follow the published standards of assay offices and grading laboratories (GIA, IGI, HRD) and the trade literature. Price statements cite completed sales, not asking prices. Where the evidence is uncertain we say so in the sentence, not in a footnote.
How AI is used
The app’s results are produced by an AI model and are labelled as estimates everywhere they appear. Pages on this site are written by people; AI tools may be used for drafting, and every published page is reviewed by a person.
Corrections
Errors are corrected in place and the page date is updated. Report one to yayapps+carat@gmail.com.
